Sophie Jennings is the owner and session leader for Bee Sharp. She is an experienced musician and teacher. She studied at Bretton Hall from 2000-2003, gaining a BA (Hons) in Music and Arts Education. Since her graduation she has worked as a singing teacher, currently teaching regularly in ten schools in the Leeds area teaching from year 1 to sixth form. In addition to which she teaches in different musical theatre settings within the region.
She worked on national research project; Musical Futures, which looked into the engagement of young people in music education. Subsequently she co-produced teaching material that is available worldwide.
Sophie has also trained in Dalcroze Eurhythmics, which is a method of learning music through movement and connecting music with our daily movements, such as walking, jogging jumping. This has informed her teaching practice and she feels it is a tremendously effective way of learning music, whatever age!
